The Bio-Jerusalem Center was established with the goal of promoting the biomed cluster in the city as an engine for economic growth.
The Center works to locate opportunities for development in the biomed sector; to formulate a unique basket of benefits for activities in the field; to unify the employment and life sciences sectors in Jerusalem; and to create mechanisms for cooperation between the various components of the cluster – industry, hospitals, and academic institutions.
The Center markets Jerusalem as a biotech city in Israel and around the world, and brings together services for biotech companies active in the city.
The Center’s activities also touch on additional aspects of development in Jerusalem, including:
Supervising and guiding entrepreneurs, companies, and investors
Running professional forums and workshops for directors and employees
Organizing national and international conferences in Jerusalem
Maintaining an extensive database on activities in the field in Jerusalem
Disseminating a quarterly newsletter reviewing activities in the city
Participation in relevant conferences in Israel and abroad in order to market the city and expand activities
