

This park is situated between the Maoz Zion (“Kastel”) neighborhood and Motza Illit the north, Har Nof to the east, Ein Kerem to the southeast, and Mt. Harat to the west, with a total area of approx. 5,000 dunams.
The park is connected to Emek Arazim to the north and Emek Refaim to the south, thereby forming a continuous strip of open spaces around the west of Jerusalem, by way of a green ring. The diverse vistas of the park include ancient agricultural terraces, orchards, natural woods, and afforested areas.
Beit Zayit Reservoir and the course of Nahal Sorek are situated in the center of the park, which offers resting corners and vantage points for visitors and serves as a habitat for various animals, including deer, jackals, hyenas, porcupines, and rare species of birds. The plan provides for the establishment of entrance corridors leading to the park, car parks, vantage points,
and vacationing and leisure corners for visitors.
The park includes several unique features: Beit Zayit Reservoir, which fills with rainwater in winter; the ancient synagogue at Motza; Yellin House, which has been restored and renovated and serves as a center introducing visitors to the heritage of Yehoshua Yellin and the story of Motza.
