The Armon Hanatziv Promenade in south Jerusalem comprises three promenades that are physically connected, but constructed using distinct architectural styles: The Sherover Promenade, the Haas Promenade, and the Goldman Promenade.
The entire compound enjoys views of the Old City and the Judean Desert and is one of the sites identified on the citywide level as a focus for a significant addition of hotel rooms in Jerusalem. Accordingly, over the coming years the compound is due to include some 2,000 hotel rooms. In cooperation with the Ministry of Jerusalem and Heritage, the Ministry of Tourism, and the Jerusalem Municipality, the JDA has initiated a strategic program to develop the public area and the Haas Promenade adjacent to the hotel area in order to upgrade tourists’ experience and develop the area as an entertainment and leisure area, based on the rejuvenation of the Armon Hanatziv Promenade. In addition to hotels and residential buildings, the compound will offer eating facilities, tourism attractions, activity and play facilities, and interactive lighting.
