Incentives and Grants – Employment and Industry

The JDA encourages entrepreneurs, companies, and factories to relocate, establish, and expand their operations in Jerusalem and to enjoy a broad package of benefits and grants. To this end, the JDA allocates a liaison officer for companies and factories interested in working in the city.

Jerusalem is the only city in central Israel that enjoys the status of a Grade “A” Development Zone. Accordingly, businesses in the city enjoy a unique track of financial benefits. In addition, the government and the JDA provide benefits and grants to businesses in the city as part of Jerusalem’s status as a priority area and under the terms of various government programs. These include adaptation grants for companies and factories relocating to the city or expanding their operations in the fields of hi-tech, biomed, and the life sciences; transitional grants for hi-tech workers; and grants for start-up companies.
