In accordance with Government Decision No. 1483, the JDA is working to increase
the number of students studying in the city.

To this end, there is a need to increase the supply of dorms in the city providing cheap
and dedicated accommodation for the student population.

Demand surveys have found that the cost of housing constitutes an obstacle to potential
candidates choosing to study in Jerusalem.

The financial assistance available to all applicants whose eligibility for assistance
is approved by the committee in accordance with the procedure is up to a cumulative
total of NIS 28 million.
