The Station to Station bike path, with a length of around 6 km, connects the Central Bus Station to the bike paths in the Malha and Train Track Park areas. The path serves as the western arm of the Milton Ring.
The JDA is working to create an unbroken, comfortable, accessible, and safe bike path connecting the northwest entrance to the city to the Malha compound. This path complements the ring of bike paths around the city center.
The project is based on the following development principles:
- An unbroken, clear, and convenient connection to the adjacent urban features
- Meeting commuting and leisure needs
- A consistent design language that responds to local characteristics
- Development of a bike path and walking path with complete separation
- Creating “places” along the route
- Ancillary services: drinking points, rest corners, bike maintenance stations
So far the sections from Givat Mordechai to the Kraft Stadium at Sacker Park have been completed. Work is currently underway to establish and pave the bike path from Golomb intersection to Givat Mordechai (as part of the work for the construction of the Green Line of the light rail network).
